DESCRIPTION:Do you remember?  21st night of September? \nWell you should.  Because the first day of FanX is that day!  We will have our booth in which we will be interacting with all of the patrons as well as raising money for Make-A-Wish.  For those who signed up for a station at certain hours\, this is where you’ll be our shining stars.  You will also earn a free pass for that day if you signed up for more than 4 hours that day. \nOur booth will be a bit different this year in that changing and storage will be tight.  There won’t be a dedicated changing area as we’ve had the past couple of years.  The space we will have will be dedicated primarily for tote storage.  If you’re able to change beforehand\, that’s great.  Otherwise\, we’ll have to improvise how and where to change. \nAlso keep in mind the schedule for Day 1 of FanX.  As the website states\, early floor entry will open at 1 PM for VIP and Gold Pass holders.  General admission opens at 2 pm.  If you’re working the booth\, we recommend coming around the back loading areas so that you can get in and get ready.  Message one of leadership if you have any issues. \nLet’s show the fine folks at FanX how we do things.

DESCRIPTION:Day 2!  Give it up for Day 2!! \nWe’ll be operating the same as we did the first day.  Those who signed up for booth hours\, make sure you double check where you’ll be and at what time.  You’ll get a pass that day if you work at least 4 hours at the booth.  Registration starts at 8 AM.  Early entry for VIP and Gold Pass will be at 10 AM that day with general admission opening at 11 AM. \nChanging and storage will be the same as the first day.  So take that into account.  REMINDER:  The Multiclub Dinner at Tucano’s will happen that night as well.  It’s only a brief walk to the restaurant located at the Gateway.  If you do plan on going\, we recommend probably heading over at least 30-45 minutes beforehand.  The day usually winds down around 7-8 anyways.

DESCRIPTION:Day 3!  Give it up for Day 3!!! \nAnd thus the final day arrives.  Bittersweet I know.  Which gives us the perfect opportunity for us to end things with a bang!  Volunteers who signed up for posts at the booth\, you know the drill.  Just like the previous days\, you’ll get a pass if you work at least 4 hours.  8 am will be when registration opens.  9:30 will open for VIP and Gold Pass Holders.  10 AM will open for the general public.  The floor will close at 7 PM with select special events closing at 9 PM. \nChanging and storage will be the same as the previous two days.  Plan accordingly. \nBecause this is the last day\, we will also be tearing down our booth.  If you are able to stay afterwards to help us out\, you’ll be our best friend.  If the last couple of years have proven\, the more people we have helping\, the quicker tear down will go. \nWe would be honored if you would join us. \n

This may be postponed to another night if the can not get the pain under control..Hello all\, so Jaxen is a 10 year old boy who attends Hawthorn Academy\, so one of my students and a family friend. He has been fighting sarcoma. Today he had a surgery done called rotationplast\, (Rotationplasty is a surgery for bone cancer near the knee. A surgeon removes the middle part of your leg\, including the tumor. Your lower leg is reattached at your thigh\, but rotated 180 degrees. Your ankle joint functions as your new knee joint. You wear a prosthesis\, or artificial limb. Rotationplasty is a more functional alternative to an above-the-knee full leg amputation.) He is supposed to come home on Tuesday as long as everything goes well. This would be a change at car.
