DESCRIPTION:The Utah Regional FIRST Robotics Competition hosts teams from Utah\, 5 or 6 surrounding states\, China\, Mexico\, Chile and Israel.\nCombining the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. We call FIRST Robotics Competition the ultimate Sport for the Mind. High-school student participants call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have” \nUnder strict rules\, limited time and resources\, teams of students are challenged to raise funds\, design a team “brand\,” hone teamwork skills\, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team. SUMMARY:Larsen Elementary Star Party
DESCRIPTION:Larsen is a title one school\, (low income) and has special funding they’ve received for this event.  There will be different stations for people to go around to. One of them will be a Star Wars photo booth. Other stations will be\, glow bowling\, food\, star labs\, flashlight reading\, Glow Art\, UV Scavenger Hunts\, and possibly more. We are hoping to have some characters taking photos and potentially they can switch off with others that can go and walk around and mingle and take breaks\, etc. We are also happy to provide dinner for all volunteers. \nRequested characters wise\, I’d say Darth Vader for sure\, then stormies in their various variants. \nStaging available.
