DESCRIPTION:Hastur Games in Midvale will be holding their annual Toys For Tots donation drive on Saturday\, November 17th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. HEROIC will be attending\, and all other costumed charity groups are invited to attend as well. Roland Williams of Hastur will be inside the store so we can work with him as far as using the stockroom for changing purposes and for running money inside that motorists give us. I have been asked to help to manage the outside. If you will be there in a leadership capacity for your group\, and you have attended before\, please pass along your tips to your members who have not attended in previous years. \nThe event will be held rain or shine\, and we’ll be outside on the sidewalk waving at cars\, so dress for the weather. Many attendees add holiday flair to their regular cosplays\, like Santa hats or reindeer antlers. Although the event runs from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM\, members of your groups can come and go as their personal schedules allow. \nMany participants also make a sign\, visible to passing cars\, that mentions Toys For Tots and donations\, so it’s clear what we are doing there. \nAlso\, there will be some random cosplayers there not affiliated with any of our groups. We should be prepared to set an example around good behavior and interacting with the public. I bring a Halloween bucket that relates to my cosplay to store cash that people drop off so I can run it into Roland in the store. \nThe Ghostbusters and Umbrella Corporation will often park their cars in front of the store as attention getters\, and that’s fine; for others just driving to Hastur in a regular car\, please encourage your members to park in the back if possible to free up parking spaces in the front so people coming to donate can park easily.
