DESCRIPTION:To celebrate its 100th year\, the City of Orem is having a large\, outdoor birthday party on May 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at University Place’s Orchard Park in Orem. There will be a short program\, activities\, games\, prizes\, music\, entertainment\, free cupcakes\, and fireworks! We would love to have some of your characters come from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 or 8:00 p.m. to hang out with the crowd\, take photos\, etc. We particularly thought it would be fun to have Star Wars characters since it will be May 4th.  Members of HEROIC referred the city of Orem to us. \nDressing room available in the mall\, however the mall has asked that no buckets be worn while in the mall.  Per Orem Police\, no weapons are allowed.  Light sabers should be fine\, but anything that resembles a gun is not allowed.  To be on the safe side\, saber hilts only. \nAll volunteers\, including spotters\, will need to sign in at the volunteer table\, which will be located on the East side of the park under the covered tables.  Everyone will need to sign a waiver form.

DESCRIPTION:We are cordially inviting any available costumed volunteers to enhance our Real Monarchs Star Wars Day with their presence. It will take place at our 5\,000 seat stadium in Herriman – Zions Bank Stadium. Volunteers would be included in pregame ceremonies (lead player procession out of midfield tunnel) and also given areas where they could congregate for pics with fans\, should they choose to do so. \nIt’d be great to count on costumed volunteers for the ceremonial walk on\, which would take place at approximately 12:45pm! If volunteers are ready at 12:00pm \, we would be able to get them to correct stadium location by that time\, shortly after group pictures and some crowd interaction. \nKick-off is at 1:00pm . Ideally\, volunteers could be ready to participate in pre-game and ceremonies by 12:00pm and stay through at least half time\, ending at approximately 2:00pm . Of course\, volunteers are invited to stay through the entire game if they enjoy soccer (in or out of costume)! \nWe have locker rooms (with 30 lockers each for men & women)\, though they are within a large bathroom. We can provide alternate location within the complex where volunteers can comfortably change and securely store their belongings. \nPlease meet at 14787 S Academy Parkway\, Building A (the Zions Bank Training Center on EAST side of complex).

SUMMARY:Skyridge High School Spirit Week
DESCRIPTION:Skyridge High Schools spirit week is themed off of the famous Star Wars. With each grade representing a different character in the iconic movies\, the grades will compete in various activities to go along with the theme\, fighting to win the spirit bowl. We would need the awesome 501st group to stand on the edges of the entry to simply help guide the students into the gym. They would have a student council member with them at all times to help decrease the amount of pictures and distraction to help make the storm troopers job of waving them into the doors a little easier. We would also want them to stand on the gym floor when the assembly starts to act as obstacle courses while one student from each grade race to the other side of the gym floor in a sac race. The storm troopers after these two jobs happening close together would be done after that. Super quick and simply and would be super fun to go along with our theme. Skyridge Highschool’s administration has approved the 501st potentially coming. Even though it’s late notice\, we would love if we could get a few stormtroopers. \nAs this is a school event\, no prop weapons are allowed.  Helmets are okay. \nLocal contact is Kevin Henshaw (801) 822-4185.  He is the assistant principal at Skyridge High School.

SUMMARY:Kite Flight For Reading And Sight
DESCRIPTION:The Kite Flight is to hep promote reading for elementary kids.  For the past few months\, the kids have kept track of their reading times each day and then turn in the reading chart in exchange for a kite.  This will be a fun event to interact with a lot of families and even fly a kite\, perhaps. \nThis will be a change by your car event and meet and greet those attending. \nFor those characters who do not have buckets on your heads\, they would love your help with kites and books.  Bucketed characters will inteact with kids and families. \nThe weather can be unpredictable this time of year in Cedar City\, so please be prepared.
