DESCRIPTION:  \nEDIT: this event is full. Please reach out to James Beveridge or Ben Driggs if you are interested in being an alternate. \nStar Wars related activities with the kids will be provided. Hospital staff and volunteers will be present to help and will take some members in small groups to rooms where children are too sick to leave. To attend this event\, you must be able to be aware of surroundings while in costume\, many children will be in the party room with IVs and other medical devices. \nRestrictions: \n\n10 max costumer and 2 spotters\, equaling 12 total attendees. This is a crossclub event\, only say you are going if you are planning on taking one of these slots. Additional spotters or guests will NOT be allowed past the front desk.\nFace masks must be worn at all times (including under a full-face helmet). Troopers\, this means you need antifog in your lenses as we also need to ensure we’re not tripping over medical devices.\nValid ID must be presented at the front desk for a guest badge\nNo blasters (lightsabers okay)\nClean and sterilize your costume as best you can. They will not be checking dry cleaning receipts\, but do as much as you reasonably can.\nIf you are sick (as mild as it may be)\, STAY HOME!\n\nArrive early so you can check in (1:15 is recommended). Park in the parking garage and check in at the front desk. They will direct you. There is an area that we can change in but it is not fully private. A couple bathrooms are available for those who need more privacy.

DESCRIPTION:Max attendance: 10 troopers\, 5 spotters. \nNOTE: We are implementing a new raffle system for limited-attendance events. Facebook commits that don’t also commit here will not be counted . If more than 10 troopers (or 5 spotters) sign up\, a raffle will be held to see who gets to go. We’ll give it at least a week from initial posting before holding the raffle. \nNo blasters. \nJordan Hills elementary school wants us back\, last year was a huge hit. \nEach character will be escorted by 2 students to classrooms where they will read from a short star wars book ( selected at arrival ) and engage with students by reading and answering questions after and taking pictures if they like. \nThese will be approximately 15 minute intervals\, with the trooper visiting up to 6 different classrooms. The purpose is to strengthen the importance of reading in a fun and engaging way that the students don’t get often and gives the teacher a bit of a break. Remember you will be reading out loud. If you wear a helmet and don’t have a microphone/can’t see\, this probably isn’t for you. \nThere is parking in the school parking lot and if by chance it is full there is a local LDS chapel on the other side of the street that can be used to park and walk across. \nChanging area will be on the stage \, there are no mirrors or bathrooms on the stage area\, make sure you use the facilities before getting changed :-). \nThe school said last year it was one of the best activities they have had in some time\, the students and teachers both appreciated the break from the normal routine. \nPlease arrive 30 minutes early.
