The festival provides children with a safe\, enjoyable Halloween experience with a variety of fun activities\, including pumpkin decorating\, trick-or-treating\, face painting\, games\, and arts and crafts. Additionally\, the students residing in Officer’s Circle decorate their homes and allow families to walk through at their leisure. \nThis event is meant to be accessible for children with a variety of needs\, such as allergies\, or disabilities that impact mobility. \n  \nWe would be walking around and interacting with the families and kids who come. As of right now\, we’re  not sure about the weapons or if there will be changing. We will hopefully have more info soon. They also said volunteers will be offered pizza.

This may be postponed to another night if the can not get the pain under control..Hello all\, so Jaxen is a 10 year old boy who attends Hawthorn Academy\, so one of my students and a family friend. He has been fighting sarcoma. Today he had a surgery done called rotationplast\, (Rotationplasty is a surgery for bone cancer near the knee. A surgeon removes the middle part of your leg\, including the tumor. Your lower leg is reattached at your thigh\, but rotated 180 degrees. Your ankle joint functions as your new knee joint. You wear a prosthesis\, or artificial limb. Rotationplasty is a more functional alternative to an above-the-knee full leg amputation.) He is supposed to come home on Tuesday as long as everything goes well. This would be a change at car.

DESCRIPTION:Do you remember?  21st night of September? \nWell you should.  Because the first day of FanX is that day!  We will have our booth in which we will be interacting with all of the patrons as well as raising money for Make-A-Wish.  For those who signed up for a station at certain hours\, this is where you’ll be our shining stars.  You will also earn a free pass for that day if you signed up for more than 4 hours that day. \nOur booth will be a bit different this year in that changing and storage will be tight.  There won’t be a dedicated changing area as we’ve had the past couple of years.  The space we will have will be dedicated primarily for tote storage.  If you’re able to change beforehand\, that’s great.  Otherwise\, we’ll have to improvise how and where to change. \nAlso keep in mind the schedule for Day 1 of FanX.  As the website states\, early floor entry will open at 1 PM for VIP and Gold Pass holders.  General admission opens at 2 pm.  If you’re working the booth\, we recommend coming around the back loading areas so that you can get in and get ready.  Message one of leadership if you have any issues. \nLet’s show the fine folks at FanX how we do things.

DESCRIPTION:We have been selected to participate in the Bluffdale Celebration Parade.  A rule form has been sent with the following stipulations: \n  \nPARADE RULES & GUIDELINES\nSaturday\, August 12\, 2023 9:00 am\nWaivers and forms must be submitted no later than July 29th. Please email us a copy of all waivers\nsigned and any last minute sign ups will need a physical copy of the waiver on the day of the parade.\nListed below are the rules and guidelines to be followed.\n● Parade line-up time 7:30 am Parade start time 9:00 am\n● Location is at Summit Academy Independence (15327 S Noell Nelson Dr\, Bluffdale\, UT 84065)\n● Please note: Once in the parking lot floats will be divided into two lines on the left and right\nsides of the lot. We ask that all floats and participants stay clear of the space in between the\nlines of floats. Please help us run a safe and smooth parade by not obstructing that space.\nThank You!\nRULES:\n1. The official entry form should be received by July 15th\n2. ALL participants\, including driver\, passengers\, etc. MUST sign participants form.\n3. Multiple pages of the OFFICIAL participant form are acceptable.\n4. Additional Participant Forms can be added until 30 minutes prior to the start of the parade.\n5. ALL MINORS MUST have a parent or guardian signature.\n6. Parade marching order will be determined by the parade committee. (We will send you an email a few\ndays prior to the parade what the line up is going to look like)\n7. All entries MUST keep moving with the flow of the parade\, even when distributing promotional items\,\ncandy\,etc.\n8. Persons riding on a float MUST remain on the float at all times.\n9. Entries with minors walking MUST have at least 2 ADULT spotters in front and 2 ADULT spotters\nbehind them.\n10. Candy or other items may be distributed in a safe manner to spectators outside the line of march.\nPlease provide your own candy or items.\n11. Parade units will be required to be in the assigned staging area by 7:30am.\n12. Parade floats must meet fire code compliance. (Fire extinguishers are required on each float).\n13. Number for entry will be given upon check-in & must be placed on the left side of entry.\n14. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the parade chairman.\n15. Entries accepted after July 15th are not guaranteed to be announced.\n16. All entries will follow the proper ingress and egress routes.\nThe parade committee reserves the right to cancel any accepted entry at any time should it be determined that the\nentry does not comply with the parade rules and regulations. The purpose of the Parade is to provide fun\, relaxation\,\nentertainment\, and patriotism for the citizens of Bluffdale and its viewing audience.
