DESCRIPTION:Max attendance: 10 troopers\, 5 spotters. \nNOTE: We are implementing a new raffle system for limited-attendance events. Facebook commits that don’t also commit here will not be counted . If more than 10 troopers (or 5 spotters) sign up\, a raffle will be held to see who gets to go. We’ll give it at least a week from initial posting before holding the raffle. \nNo blasters. \nJordan Hills elementary school wants us back\, last year was a huge hit. \nEach character will be escorted by 2 students to classrooms where they will read from a short star wars book ( selected at arrival ) and engage with students by reading and answering questions after and taking pictures if they like. \nThese will be approximately 15 minute intervals\, with the trooper visiting up to 6 different classrooms. The purpose is to strengthen the importance of reading in a fun and engaging way that the students don’t get often and gives the teacher a bit of a break. Remember you will be reading out loud. If you wear a helmet and don’t have a microphone/can’t see\, this probably isn’t for you. \nThere is parking in the school parking lot and if by chance it is full there is a local LDS chapel on the other side of the street that can be used to park and walk across. \nChanging area will be on the stage \, there are no mirrors or bathrooms on the stage area\, make sure you use the facilities before getting changed :-). \nThe school said last year it was one of the best activities they have had in some time\, the students and teachers both appreciated the break from the normal routine. \nPlease arrive 30 minutes early.
