SUMMARY:Holiday Electric Light Parade
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, November 27\, 2021 at 5:30PM on Washington Blvd. Parade Lineup starts at 4PM\, line up should be complete by 5PM on Saturday. The parade begins at 22nd street and ends at 27th street. 2021 Theme: “O-Town Christmas”. \nHave fun and get LIT!  This is a extremely fun troop where you can light up your kit will Christmas lights and just have fun. \nDress warmly under your kit as it will get cold.  Kit up at your car. \nIt is best to have some groups park cars at the end of the parade route and some take others to the start.  It’s a long walk both ways\, so some planning is good.  Also\, get there early to get good parking. \n  \nAdditional info from Robert Bixler (point-of-contact): \n\nI will be posting two things here today\, this is the first. We will be receiving our staging location on Tuesday of next week. As soon as I get this I will post it here. Andy Gallup will be towing one trailer\, and Aubrey Kuefner will possibly be towing the second based on access to it. Shawn Gordon will be bringing their land speeder as well. They are the masters of their areas\, so if they tell you something about their vehicle\, that is law. We will have 100 ft in the staging area\, which should accommodate all three vehicles. The trailers will need to be lit\, so if you have any extra Christmas lights laying around\, we could possibly use them. Staging will begin at 4 pm\, and we will need to have the vehicles there as close to this as possible.\n\n\nChildren under the age of 12 are not allowed on the parade route as per the rules from the parade itself. If someone present is under 12\, they will be asked to leave\, no exceptions\, no leeway. As well\, anyone under 18 will not be allowed on the trailers themselves. Once you are on the trailer\, you are on it\, and are not able to jump off or in during the parade\, unless there is an extreme circumstance. Safety is our main concern\, and we will be ridged on this. If we see anyone jump in or out of the trailers on the parade route without due reason\, we will ask you to sit out next Light Parade.\n\n\nTwo years ago\, it was extremely cold. Right now it is looking as a low in the 30’s for that day\, but can always change. Please take the necessary precautions for this. Foot and hand warmers are always a great idea. As such\, a walk back to your car could be very detrimental. Please employ a buddy system to get to the start and from the end of the parade. This means\, have someone in your group park towards the end of the route\, and then drive them towards the start and then park near the start. Then after the parade is over\, the car that was parked at the end can then transport everyone back to the car at the start of the route. There will be some space on the floats to transport people back\, but space will be limited\, and do not bank on that being your one options please.
