SUMMARY:First Utah Robotics Pre-Season Competition
DESCRIPTION:The event will be a Star Wars themed robotics pre-season competition for local Utah FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) teams to practice their skills for the upcoming season. FRC is a worldwide competition but we are creating a game to prepare us and other local teams for next year’s challenge. The game is hosted by our team at our school for about 15 local teams to participate in. We would like the participants have an opportunity to have their pictures taken with stormtroopers and to interact with you\, since this year’s game being Star Wars themed. DESCRIPTION:We have been invited to participate in the Officer Barney Memorial Toy Drive at the Microsoft Store in City Creek.  The Star Wars groups are authorized to bring prop weapons.  Other groups will be there\, like the super hero groups. \nI’ve been told that Microsoft will have some hallways and restrooms to change in\, but changing at your car is also an option.  They would like to get as many characters there as possible. \nFarris Gerard is our event contact for this one. \nThe 4th annual Officer Doug Barney Memorial Toy Drive will be held Saturday December 14th at the Microsoft Store in Citycreek\, Salt-lake City. \nBring a -NEW- unopened toy for children in need this Christmas & get an autograph and selfie with Jess Harnell\, Maurice LaMarche & Rob Paulsen.\nEmmy award winning actors from the Animaniacs\, Pinky and the Brain\, Transformers.\, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles\, Ghostbusters Series and The Land Before Time Movies. \n*Suggested donation of one toy per actor\, remember all toys go to kids this Christmas\, so bring as many as you can! \nPlease come early as time will be limited and bring something for Jess\, Maurice & Rob to sign.
